CRT 2020 Call for Abstracts

The CRT 2020 Abstract Committee invites you to submit abstracts of original investigations for consideration at CRT 2020. Abstracts should constitute original research (clinical studies, basic investigation and animal studies are equally encouraged) in the field of cardiovascular medicine and intervention. The content may include portions of prior abstracts and/or manuscripts submitted or presented elsewhere.


  • The top abstracts will be presented orally at CRT 2020 and the presenting authors will be listed as CRT 2020 Associate Faculty.
  • Reduced registration will be extended to the submitting author for each accepted abstract. Submitters will receive a unique code in their acceptance letter to register at the discounted rate.
  • Each accepted abstract submitter will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine (CRM)
  • CRT 2020 accepted abstracts meeting the eligibility requirements have the opportunity for simultaneous publication in JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions and Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.

Abstract Policies and Procedures

Abstracts must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. ET, on November 15, 2019.

There is no submission fee required to submit an abstract to CRT 2020.

  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts a person may submit.
  • All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Do not include Title or Author information in the body of your abstract, these are separate fields you will complete in Oasis.
  • Abstracts should include Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Abstracts should briefly describe the objectives of the study, statement of methods and findings that support conclusions.
  • Clarity of expression will be considered in the review process. The overall quality of language used should assure comprehension by the reader.
  • Abstracts may be entered directly into OASIS or uploaded. Supported file format - MS Word.
  • The maximum number of characters allowed is 2200 (approximately 300-350 words). The addition of a table or figure/image deducts 600 characters from the total maximum characters.
  • Figures and images must be uploaded separately. Supported file formats are JPG and GIF.
  • The submission site will provide additional specifications regarding your abstract.
  • All abstracts submitted are disclosed to members of the Peer Review Selection Committee, the accredited provider, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center employees and contractors as necessary, in connection with CRT 2020.
  • Abstract grading is blind and abstracts are selected on the basis of merit.
  • Submitters may revise information, correct typographical errors, tables, graphics, or withdraw an abstract any time before the above deadline. After November 15, please contact CRTabstracts@gmail.com to withdraw an abstract.
  • Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present, if accepted. Failure to present may jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts.
  • CRT 2020 is unable to reimburse abstract submitters for travel, hotel, and per diem expenses.
