Visa Information

If you require a visa to enter the United States, please check with your local US embassy or consulate to obtain the necessary documents. Please allow enough time to process your visa. Visit the website for information on the visa application process.

Letter of Invitation

On request, CRT is also pleased to send an invitation for participation in CRT 2018. This invitation is not a commitment on the part of CRT to provide any financial support, a guarantee of the acceptance of any submissions by the attendee, nor a guarantee that the consulate will issue the visa. Letters of invitation are sent only to those individuals who have registered to attend the program and whose payments have been verified.

Before You Book Your Travel, Please Check Your Passport!

If your passport is expired or due to expire in the near future, please renew it promptly. Visitors to the United States are typically required to be in possession of passports that are valid for six months beyond the period of their intended stay.

CRT welcomes physicians and healthcare providers from around the globe. However, please Note: Under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, travelers in the following categories are no longer eligible to travel or be admitted to the U.S. under the VWP:

  • Nationals of VWP countries who have traveled to or been present in Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen, on or after March 1, 2011 (with limited exceptions for travel for diplomatic or military purposes in the service of a VWP country).
  • Nationals of VWP countries who are also nationals of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria. These individuals will still be able to apply for a visa using the regular appointment process at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. For those who require a U.S. visa for urgent business, medical, or humanitarian travel to the U.S., U.S. Embassies and Consulates stand ready to handle applications on an expedited basis.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) strongly recommends that any traveler to the U.S. check his or her ESTA status prior to making any travel reservations or travelling to the U.S. More information is available on the DHS website and on the CBP website.

Travel Information to Omni Hotel

Regan National: 8 miles

  • Taxi: Approximately $20 - $25
  • Shuttle Service: Transportation is available through Super Shuttle to the Hotel. Click here to book this service.
  • Metro: Take the Blue Line metro in the direction of Largo to Metro Center. Change to the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove. Take Red Line to Woodley Park/Zoo Metro Station. The hotel is located one block from the metro. Once you have exited the Metro via the escalators, go to the right and down the stairs. Go to the left and walk to Calvert St (1 block). Cross the street and take a right. The hotel will be on your left hand side. Approximately $1.35 - $2.55 per person.

Dulles International: 28 miles

  • Shuttle Service: Transportation is available through Super Shuttle to the Hotel. Click here to book this service.
  • Taxi Service: Approximately $60 - $75
  • Metro: Click here for information on accessing the metro from Dulles International Airport. Once on the Silver Line, transfer to the Red Line towards Shady Grove at Metro Center. Exit at Woodley Park / Zoo Metro Station; at the top of escalators, cross right onto 24th, go left to end of the block. The hotel is located diagonal right across Calvert Street. Approximately $12 one way / $20 roundtrip. Travel time 30 minutes.

Baltimore/Washington International: 38 miles

  • Shuttle Service: Transportation is available through Super Shuttle to the Hotel. Click here to book this service.
  • Taxi Service: Approximately $75 - $100 (allow 60 minutes travel time)
  • Train: Take the free shuttle from the Airport to BWI Marshall Rail Station and take either the AMTRAK/MARC train to Union Station. Once at Union Station, take the Metro (Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove) to Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan stop. The hotel is located half a block from the Metro. Approximately $6 for MARC and $1.75 for Metro. MARC is available Monday - Friday (limited schedules on Holidays). AMTRAK is available daily with service on the weekends (ticket prices vary).
