This daylong track on Sunday, March 3, is focuses Nurses and Technologists. The day is divided into five sessions: today’s cath lab, STEMI, contemporary therapies, structural heart, and accreditation, education and quality.
The cath lab session discusses the latest in technology, such as robotic assistance, use lead protection and the latest guidelines. STEMI, as its name implies, includes the most current information on treating ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Contemporary therapies features sections on physiologic assessment, treating pulmonary emboli and transradial access. Structural heart includes talks on left atrial appendage closure devices, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement. The accreditation section focuses on the importance of adhering to regulations, documenting procedures and the latest on quality initiatives in the cath lab.
The Women and Heart Symposium takes place at lunchtime and features one of CRT’s keynote speakers, Jean Chatzky.
