Call for Young Leadership

Submission Opens July 1st

Deadline: Applications must be submitted electronically by November 4, 2019. Applicants should apply as early as possible before the deadline. All applicants will receive notification of their acceptance status in December.

The Young Leadership Recognition Program is designed to feature current and future clinical and academic excellence in physicians practicing interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine.

Recognition:

The top 25 applicants will receive:

  • An invitation to serve as CRT 2020 Faculty
  • Complimentary registration*
  • Three nights stay (room and tax) at the The Gaylord National Convention Center
  • Coach airfare through the CRT 2020 Travel Agency (when purchased 21 days in advance of February 19)

*Details regarding hotel and airfare will be shared closer to the conference dates.

A special symposium, including current leaders in the field from academia, industry, and the US Food and Drug Administration, will be held at CRT 2020 for the selected Young Leadership Recognition Program participants.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have completed a formal fellowship program specializing in interventional cardiovascular medicine (interventional cardiology, endovascular medicine, structural heart disease, pathology, etc), within the last seven years
  • Must be younger than 40 years of age at the start of CRT 2020
  • Must have published at least five manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals related to the field of interventional cardiology (inventions may be included)
  • Must have presented at least seven presentations at national or international scientific meetings

Applications must also contain the following documents:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Supporting statement from the applicant’s program director verifying that the applicant is an early career investigator as defined in the eligibility criteria
  • Letters of recommendation from two academic interventional cardiologists

Evaluation Criteria

  • Applications will be judged by the CRT 2020 Scientific Committee

*If you submit in this category but do not receive approval, CRT will offer you a discounted registration rate of $400. Directions will be provided at time of review notification.
