Thursday, October 03, 2013
In the rapidly evolving cardiovascular technology industry, it is essential that physicians and other healthcare providers stay up-to-date on the latest developments and data in the field. Through this new collaboration, CRT 2014 and cvPipeline aim to attract innovations that are in early-stage development in addition to the more established technologies that are also presented at the annual CRT conference. The interactive format of the Innovation sessions will offer selected presenters the ability to introduce their innovation to a panel of expert physicians that can comment on device design, features, and potential benefits for both the patient and physician.
“Innovation is a main theme of next year's meeting,” says CRT 2014 Course Chairman, Ron Waksman, MD. “We are excited about the collaboration with cvPipeline which will give the innovators at CRT an opportunity to present their innovation among the leading academic and industry community via the broad cvPipeline network.”
cvPipeline Chief Operating Officer Eric Lehto says, “We are excited to be working with CRT on the creation of these Innovations sessions. The sessions will allow for earlier stage technologies to be presented and discussed in a way that allows the panel and audience to think like a product engineer, trying to find solutions to the complex problems involved in creating a new product. CRT is a very important meeting for the cardiovascular field and we look forward to contributing to it.”
CRT 2014 will take place February 22-25, 2014 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.
Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT), sponsored by MedStar Washington Hospital Center, is a four-day, multi-modular meeting that focuses on the advances and changes in the field of cardiovascular medicine while maintaining a long-standing commitment to therapy innovation, evidence-based medicine and dedication to putting patients first.
